How can we show up for ourselves while caring for and raising our transgender children?

Come together with island moms and women caregivers who have transgender children of any age.

Our focus is supporting female identified people and we are delighted to offer this group where we will be discussing resources, meeting other caregivers, and sharing stories about our journey raising happy and healthy transgender children – the challenges, the triumphs, and the joys.

We will spend 2.5 hours sharing resources, meeting other caregivers, sharing stories about our experiences, challenges, and joys as we do our best to raise healthy, happy transgender kids. This is an opportunity to connect with those with shared lived experience in this specific area of parenting/caregiving.

While this is not a therapy group, we will be discussing local resources, best practices, challenges, and joys. The focus of this group is on moms and caregivers. We will have a small panel of local moms who will share their experiences of supporting their trans child(ren). Our goal is to offer a safe space where moms can talk about their experiences and focus on their needs given all they are doing for their family.

This group will be facilitated by Jamie Wolf, MPPA who is a DEIA and 2SLGBTQIA educator, Vashon Island resident and transgender man.
